Moped Seattle WA
SEATTLE - A moped driver has died after crashing into a car near Seattle's McCurdy Park. The moped was driven by a 39-year-old man who was heading southeast on East Montlake Place. A Honda Accord that was heading north on 24th Avenue East was also involved. Apparently as the moped approached the curve, it cross the center line and hit the Honda. The modped driver was thrown into the hood of the Honda and hit the windshield. He later died at Harborview Medical Center. The crash is under investigation.

Does anyone know how to work on small engines?2009-01-04 21:18:07 by Rat666
I desperately need some advice. i have a real moped, not asian junk. yes, it has pedals.
it sat for an unknown amount of time, and i got it not knowing anything about it. it has spark, gets fuel, and blows billowy (thick like pipe smoke) white smoke when i kick it over. ive cleaned the carb so much i can eat out of it, new plug, good gas/mix, just put all new seals on it.
i have no idea what to do now. its a 99 tomos targa lx, a35 engine with cdi. i really need to get this thing to run and im so lost! thanks!

Thanks for the response, I bought this ped from a private owner, he said it was running in November, but he was tired of messing with it. Anyway...when I got it, the carb was running fuel through it continuously and it didn't run. So I bought a new carb and installed it. Put fresh gas/oil mix in tank, made sure flow out of tank was good. Has good spark, seems to be getting fuel (after kick starting, I took the plug out and it seems to be wet. Once in a while it will cough like it wants to start. Has new spark plug. Check air cleaner, not much to the cleaner, seems to let air flow. Their is only one adjustment on the carb, I have screwed the screw in/out/halfway etc
